What we store

When you create an account we store your name, email address and a hashed password. As you learn we store your enrolments, which slides you have finished, how far into each one you are, and your quiz attempts and scores. That is what makes "continue where you left off" work.

The AI tutor

When you ask the tutor a question, the question and the slide you are on are sent to an AI model provider to generate the answer. Do not include personal data about other people, or anything confidential, in a question.

Cookies

Upfold sets one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is not used for advertising or tracking across other sites. Browsing the public pages and previewing a free lecture sets no cookies.

Who can see your data

We do not sell your data. It is processed by the infrastructure providers that run the site (hosting, database, file storage and the AI model provider) only to provide the service. We share data with no one else unless the law requires it.

Where it lives

Data is stored in the United States.

Your choices

  • You can see your enrolments and progress on your account page at any time.
  • You can ask us to export or delete your account and everything stored with it.
  • You can preview the first lecture of any course without an account.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above. Material changes are announced on the site.
