AI Skills
What are tools? A Beginner's Guide
About this lesson
On its own, a chatbot only reads and writes words. Tools let it search the web, do exact maths and run code, and work with your email, calendar and documents. This lesson shows how that works, which tool fits which job, and how to keep your data and decisions safe.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Explain how an AI asks for a tool and the app does the work
Know the three everyday tools: search, calculator and code, your apps
Tell safer read-only tools from tools that change things
Pick the right tool by asking what is missing
